These totals are periodic snapshots taken by the exchange, not a live view of any facility. A figure that cannot be verified is shown as a dash rather than as a number.
How to read these figures
A count of every referral record the exchange holds, in every state — including drafts, cancelled and declined records. It measures records received by the exchange, not referral outcomes, and must not be read as completed or successful referrals.
Bed totals are reported by connected facilities as aggregate counts only. Facilities that have not reported inside the current freshness window are excluded rather than counted as none, so the national total stays honest about its coverage.
Facilities connected, patients issued with a PHN, and registered health workers are held nationally by the exchange, so each is de-duplicated across facilities by construction.
Exact bed or patient information is not exposed. This page carries national totals only; no facility, ward, bed or individual is identifiable from anything published here.
